700r4 Lock up test

Seems like my lockup solenoid gave up the will to work . I have a TCI lockup kit in it been working great I have a lighted dash switch installed along with the vacum switch, light would be on when un-locked below 50 mph above 50 the light would go out and watch the tach drop 200 RPM. Or I could lock it up with the switch in 3 or 4 never tried in 2nd. Comming home Sat night the rocker switch stayed lit all the way to 80 if I threw the switch the rpms never changed light would go off but no drop in the rpms.Tried it again this afternoon no differant any way to test the solenoid with out dropping pan?Trans was rebuilt 2 years ago abd it shifts great only problem is the lockup.
