which looms are yall running? I want a nice clean look, I have a 350 with Hedman elite headers if it helps.

I have the blue anodized type that run along the valve covers. They go from 4 wire holders in the rear to 1 in the front. I have an extra chrome set that have never been used I am planning to list for sale on the board soon.

These are what was on this truck when I got it. I need to change the wires to block but i will probably leave the looms.

i am running the billit specialtiies plain style. they cover the wire from just at the plug to the rear of the vlv cover. i think they were around $60 i would have to look at the papers again though...

They look similar to 72 freak's. How would you guys mount the looms under the header when the looms are mounted to the valve cover bolts?

You don't use any looms when you mount them under the header. In fact, you can't hardly see the plug wires at all.

I think plug wires clutter up the engine compartment, and just get in the way. I don't see the reason to showcase plug wires, so I mounted mine like this:

On my block, there was a bolt hole in the center of the block, at the top (on both sides) for.... a heat shiled, maybe???

I made a small flat bracket that points downward, and runs almost along the block, then I neatly used tie wraps to make sort of a wiring harness out of all 4 plug wires on each side, so each wire would only reach the plug it needs to reach and keeps the wires away from the headers -- the group of wires is held to the small bracket by another tie wrap or 2

Simple, effective, appealing, and best of all FREE!!! (except for the tie wraps)

This is BIG news! heat rises too! I'm all over it. That old trick using wire ties to make looms(one inside the other) should keep em together.

The wires are no closer to the header than they would be if I ran them over the top. Here's a closeup of those areas.

I hate to admit it but right now but my wires are just held back from the ramshorns with Zip ties.

Mine go under the exh. manifolds. Used stock wire stands. Most venders have them. Got mine from GMC Paul. Keeps wires out of the way.

Most all of my other vehicle have them run under, but then again, since I HATE headers all my other vehicle have exhaust manifolds...... so it is a bit easier to run them.
