Question 86 2wd blazer to full convertible??? is it thesable???

ny boss is tryin to sell me a running and driving blazer for 500 bucks, only thing is that he cut the top off at the windsheild because his original plans were to never have a top or side glass but he has since lost interest in it. how hard is it to find a 73-75 fiberglass top? i also will consider any other options such as making it a unibody pickup since i think it might be quicker than trying to find a top. sucks that he thru away the part he cut off so i cant just put it back. it does have some rust around the windshield but i have a donor cab for that. this seems like a pretty good deal but i wanna be able to drive it whenever i want and that will be pretty soon after i get it. what do you guys think?

Re: 86 2wd blazer to full convertible??? is it thesable???

yea i did it on my 79 blazer about 12 years ago, but it was pure luck finding the top. i actually found a whole donor truck so i usde the right doors and the upper windshield section too. came out well and i know i could do it again. but if i cant find a top pretty soon i think i could pull off a pretty bad unibody shortbed with it. i only got a few weeks to decide what im gonna do. ill prolly just put the back half top back on for now and ride it lile it got a hollywood top. i could make a snap on somethin just for now to keep some of the rain out.
