Need help wiring

I own a 1987 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4 wheel drive, 5.7 auto, ... pretty much factory original. A little over a month ago I was hit out on the interstate at 50+ mph. Insurance paid, body shop did what I couldn't. Opted to have new lower quarter panels instead of painted. I found a 1990 GMC Suburban being parted out. I bought the front clip and both front doors. Currently on my 87 K5 Blazer. Anyways, the 90's headlight wire harness does NOT simply plug into the 87's firewall. I either need too cut and splice or need a adapter. Anyone solve this problem ?? Details and pics if you have them. Thank you.

Re: Need help wiring

My plans include removing all emblems from the truck. No "GMC" in the grille, no "Chevrolet" on the tailgate, no "Silverado" on the rear panels. Looked like when I bought it almost 5 years ago. I like the two tone paint. Want to paint it the same only light Silver instead of Grey. Think that would look nice. Doing a 4/5 inch lift and will have 33" mud tires. Nothing outrageous, just a fun truck to drive.

Re: Need help wiring

I think you can just unbolt the harness in the engine compartment, and then slide the connector apart. there are 3 harnesses that make it square. slide in the head light connector and go.

plug at firewall different on 90's then 87's. Shape not same. Wire count different also. Anyways, already taken care of. Took to buddy's shop and we spliced harnesses together. All lights work the way they are suposta.

Re: Need help wiring

Thank you. Still needs alot of work yet. Have to lightly sand, touch up a few spots and clear coat it. Then I might be ambitious enough to start on the lift.
