I found this post as I tried like hell to figure out how those clips worked, and now I am finally realizing that whoever did the body work on the truck before I bought it just eliminated the bezels and filled the old holes for the clips with filler!

Getting the old clips out and the new clips in is a lot easier if you spray a little lube on them first.

71 Custom Deluxe, SWB, 2WD, 402, A/C. I developed an assm. guide "kit" for restoring it from ground up. With assys, the guide accts for 1000s of OEM identifications and part numbers, all written in short order. 700+ images include assm, illust., charts, and points of interest.
