AMAZING!!!! You guys just keep setting the bar higher with each project that rolls out of the shop. I put you guys in the same category as any of the big-name builders, such as Troy Trepanier, Alan Johnson, or Bobby Alloway. Incredibly talented artists. Can't wait to see what's next!

Can't really put into words how awesome that truck is. Clean, smooth and shiny. Let's see how many magazines we'll see pictures of this truck in.

Great work. You set the bar so high, I need a telescope to see the darn thing!

That truck is even more stunning when you see it in person.
The build is great but seeing it finished in the GG setting yesterday kind of made my trip

Re: The 48 chevy truck Ironworks is building.

I find myself coming back to this thread just to look (lust) over that truck. That's sculpture at it's finest. That's got to be the best looking, most well proportioned truck I've ever seen.

Can't wait to win the lottery so I can have something like that built, LOL.

Re: The 48 chevy truck Ironworks is building.

We made our last stop on the West Coast tour from SEMA with the hauler at Del Mar this past weekend. We got our hat in the ring for one of those fancy tool boxes Goodguys gives out with the picture of your wining car or truck on it. What a cool trophy. We were able to get the first finalist position for the Goodguys Truck of the year (early) finalist for 2012. Frank and Mary were on cloud nine all weekend. The weather was amazing and the food was really good also. Not that we had much over the holiday....:unibrow:

Some crazy shots we took after hours in the booth with the outside lights.

I saw this truck in person at Del Mar. I looked over this thread several times, but NOTHING prepares you for seeing it in person. Great job on this build, one of the nicest vehicles at the show. Are you guys taking the truck to the LA Roadster Show at Pomona in January?

Does the bed of that truck fold up or is it on pistons to view the frame?

how are the hood struts working out? do you have any closer pictures of where you mounted the struts on the hood? what length strut did you use or do you have a part number for it?

Just 2 bed strips fold up to access the fuel cap and battery charging posts and the battery. They swing on a hinge we are working to proto type for production it uses gas shocks to help open the part.

They are just gas shocks from McMastercar. Here are some pics.

Ironworks. Great job on that truck. There are so many over the top items on it. The detail is out of this world. It is one of my top favorites.

Re: The 48 chevy truck Ironworks is building.

There have been quite a few people that have asked about purchasing the hood emblem and the glove box speaker box combo. I have been working with my machinist to bring the price down from the cost of a one off part to something slightly more reasonable. The price won't be cheap. But if your interested you can email me for further info. iskhotrods@yahoo.com

Re: The 48 chevy truck Ironworks is building.

G'day,
The truck is absolutely divine! The owners must be very proud as you and your crew would be. Well done.

I am curious as to whether or not the steering wheel is of stock size or if you have modified that as well. It looks different to the ones that I have (smaller), and as they are not thick on the ground over here so it is hard to tell.

Thanks,

Regards,

Trently.

That is the cleanest super charged LS I have ever seen. It is so clean that it looks like it isn't even wired! Would you mind sharing a little on how you did that? the wiring harnesses and coils have always been an eye sore.

Re: The 48 chevy truck Ironworks is building.

Ironworks, that truck is outstanding thanks for sharing your build and all the details with us here. You and your crew clearly have some awesome skills and help to inspire the rest of us normal people. Who was your painter?? The shop looks like Palmers in Camarillo. I think they did a blazer awhile back that won a bunch of awards and they also painted the "most beautiful roadster" a year or two ago....
