Need measurements for rocker replacement

getting ready to replace rockers. read a lot but cant find any solid measurements. looking for a measurement from some reliable fixed point down to where the top of the rocker should be to ensure the door is going to have room for alignment. anything else that would be useful is appreciated

Re: Need measurements for rocker replacement

I didn't measure anything when I did mine. I did take the door and fender off, and then back on, and then off, and then back on, over and over again until I felt sure everything was going to align.

Good luck, Rg

Re: Need measurements for rocker replacement

Just my $.02, but I wouldn't fit that rocker without having the door and fender on. Like mentioned above, that might mean taking them off and on more than once.

Re: Need measurements for rocker replacement

Like others have said, a measurement is useless. Use the door as your alignment jig because at the end, it's what matters. Besides, no two trucks are identical. Back in 1970 some of the tolerances were +-1/4".
