About 10-15 years ago, it seemed like all I saw was advertising for Early Classic Enterprises. The last few years? Nothing... No catalogs in the mail, but their website still seems to be active. I always received great service from them on my last project. Does anybody still use them for parts? Are they still any good??

Yes, if you search ECE on here you'll find a ton of people use their lowering kits, including me. I've never seen an ad from them.

I just bought a disc brake conversion yesterday. I worked with Mark. It has been a great experience thus far.

When you place your order, they used to give a shipping discount (NOT free, but a little $ off) to forum members, it's not much, but it's something.

It's heavy stuff, so a little off shipping helps.

The only 3 gripes I will share about ECE are:

1) Their instructions are sub par. Details missing including some torque specs, and part orientation details during install. This was for their 4/6 drop kit.

2) Customer service. I agree they're good and responsive on the phone. My problem came when I sent a 1.5" drop coil set back to exchange them for their 2" drop set, after speaking with ECE to get this approved. I paid $ for 3 day shipping to send them the 1.5" coils including a note explaining the purpose of the exchange for whomever opened the package. After waiting 2 weeks to get my 2" coils back, I called them and found out why I had not received their shipment. Apparently my package had arrived to them 2 weeks earlier but no one at ECE had taken responsibility to handle it and make the exchange. No biggie, but the lack in attention caused a 2 week delay in moving forward with my project.

3) This is getting nit picky but they KYB stocks in their 4/6 drop kit are crap. ECE them selves even said on here, they personally use RideTech shocks. It'd be great if ECE could offer a better stock with their kits even for slightly more $, or confirm they have the proper KYB shock lengths that go along with their springs.

Overall, I'm happy I went with ECE. I feel the parts the make themselves are of good quality and their phone support is good.

I've ordered stuff from ECE since 2005, most recently earlier this month. I received a call a couple hours after placing my order about a small part that wouldn't be available for a couple days - wanting to know about holding up the order (caring about how the issue affected me). I really appreciate quick response and customer service.

I know this is a super old thread but I’m looking for some help regarding some ece part numbers and since they’re out of business now I’m hoping one if you can help.

I need to confirm the lug pattern on this disc brake conversion. I know it’s 6 lug but I need to determine the spacing. Is it 5.5”?

Don't know your part #...5 x 5 (5 lug 5" across) would not be 6 lug....

notsolo, I think he said 5.5 not 5 x 5.

As far as I know all '67- '70 with 6 bolt hubs are 6 x 5.5.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong....

Real bummer. I installed their spindles & leaf springs just last year. On a side, their spindles don't fit as nice as original

Their competition (former) probably the same.

I developed an assm. guide "kit" for restoring it from ground up. With assys, the guide accts for 1000s of OEM identifications and part numbers, all written in short order. 700+ images include assm, illust., charts, and points of interest.
