Mod Bods-Let's see 'em!

Let's see your Mod Bods-The Wild New Put-Ons!

I've always though these decals have been a real neat touch on some of the trucks I've seen for sale, I'd love to see yours!

Found a site with pictures of vehicles and a NOS Eagle kit. If you like these, I'd grab the pictures before they disappear.

Cool Re: Mod Bods-Let's see 'em!

Thought I would bring this thread back, here is a blazer that a local (to me) restoration shop did. I have no info on it but, it has highlander interior and, incomplete "Feathers" graphics

It's blurry because the original post from ten years ago is from somebody who used photobucket. Here is the picture. Perhaps an admin or moderator could modify the original post and delete mine.

Something about vintage decals to me - they look horrible yet so cool. Sweet Blazer.

I’d like to see the SPID - curious if the shop built it rather than acquired this one here (link in the link): http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=298

Edit: since the same antenna appears present in what looks like a non-correct location closer to the cowl edge I assume it’s the same Blazer that was acquired. It’s nice they’ve made a reproduction decal set available.

Cool Re: Mod Bods-Let's see 'em!

Well anyone is more than welcome to shoot Restore A Muscle Car a message and see if they can show a pic of the SPID. With that being said, how come we've yet to see the Sandman, Flame, 1776 or, the Van Rippler? I wouldn't mind owning a 72 Blazer with the Sandman graphics but, I guess Feathers, Eagle and, Hawk were the most popular.

Re: Mod Bods-Let's see 'em!

I guess the 72 Luv didn't get any love, but the Vega did. Does anybody have the poster or ad and can show more close up views of the different designs? I can't even read Sandman on the side of that 1 inch truck.

Hot Rod Magazine did a Mod Bod van back in the day. Red with the Rippler graphics and a bunch of their own mods. I think I have a pic somewhere.

I think the Mod Bods were not very popular back in the day and the only ones that really got sold were the Feathers and Eagle variants. I recently picked up some NOS Flame decals for an El Camino and hope to find the right car to put them on. I've done quite a bit of digging on these cars trying to figure out any additional information. I recently found some magazine ads and a brochure to go along with the decals.

Here are some pictures of the lesser seen variants, however I have never seen a Sandman!

I still have mine. She even still comes out to dance.
Interesting that most of the “feathers” that I see have the “Feathers by Chevy” on the glove box.
Mine is Feathers, but has the “Sportbird by Chevy” on the box. I have copies of the Sportbird magazine article that shows up sometimes, but most glove boxes I see are feathers.

Great looking Blazer!

That is also an interesting note. It seems like it was called both things in advertisements, here are ads for the Feathers Blazer being called both Feathers and Sport Bird.
