Re: double din

It can be done. The '89-91 Crew Cabs, Blazers & Burbs all had 1 1/2 din radios in them from the factory. With a bit of CAREFUL trimming of the metal and the bezel you can do it.
Or you can install it in the center of the dash above the ashtray with even more mods to the dash. I put one in an overhead console in my '90 burb. you can see it here.... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=288988

Re: double din

I had thought about doing one in my truck where the A/C controls and center vent are but decided to pass on that option.

Someone here did a fiberglass piece to house one, but I can't remember who. Lok up in the "Custom Stereo's, Let's See 'em" thread at the top of the forum.

Re: double din

had a double din in my 84. cutting up the dash that much to install it and your commited to it staying that way. it did work out nice in the ash tray area as it didnt affect heat vents and mine was a working ac truck. only pics i had are on this site, gave up on c-10s altogether for a 57 chevy belair project
