does size matter

OK I`M REDOING MY INTERIOR. WHILE THE INSIDE IS OUT I WAS THINKING OF REPLACING THE ORIGINAL SPEAKER WIRES AND SPEAKERS. I GOT SOME KICKER 6930 6X9 FOR X-MAS. AND WAS WONDERING WHAT IS THE BEST SIZE WIRE TO USE. I DO PLAN ON USING A SMALL KICKER AMP. 2-6X9 AND 2-3" UP FRONT. ANY HELP PLEASE ?

Re: does size matter

Personally I would run 12... But even as small as 16-18 would be ok.

Re: does size matter

it's typically easiest to just run all one size off one roll.
You can get 12ga cheap, even walmart carries it. the 12 ga is big enough if you upgrade even more at a later date it can handle it.
I run 12ga for all my internals even with a non amped stereo.
10GA typically for subs.
