Fuel injection with stock tank

I have a rebuilt 350 TBI engine that I want to use in my 69 Blazer project. It’s not my dream engine by any means, but it will get me by until more $ are available. I have already purchased a new reproduction stock fuel tank. My question is can I use this tank with the fuel injection by adding a return line or do I need something different.

Re: Fuel injection with stock tank

I used my replacement blazer tank for an msd atomic fuel injection system by using a Holley fuel pump module. It wasn’t cheap but worked out great.

Re: Fuel injection with stock tank

I added a return in my sending unit and use an external pump mounted on the frame for fuel injection.

Your TBI is not going to want as much fuel pressure as othe efi.

Re: Fuel injection with stock tank

I only ended up using the fuel pump module because I wanted the pump in the tank. I asked for advice here and found that there were frequent failures with frame mounted pumps due to overheating or not finding a prime spot to mount them so they didn’t fail from trying to pull fuel out of the tank.

There are several drop in units, I used the CPP in tank pump setup in a stock tank

Re: Fuel injection with stock tank

I used a similar setup that Jaros44sr used, but made my own tank.
If at all possible, use an in-tank pump.

Re: Fuel injection with stock tank

Thanks for all the feedback. I was considering using an external in line pump, but I will reconsider that now.
