Boise area folks
Tomorrow, 3-28, is the first day Firebird Raceway is open. It's a test and tune day, so should be fun. Come out and support your local track. It's going to be a really nice day weather-wise, perfect to drive your hot rod and watch some racing. I'll be working there too.

[QUOTE=Rickysnickers;8900192]Tomorrow, 3-28, is the first day Firebird Raceway is open.
I am about 20 miles from this race track ..,my brother owned a big orchard in Emmitt Idaho not far from the track and I went once and watched cars and trucks of all years and shapes in the 1/4 mile run against each other in the early 90ies .. I have met a few people since then that raced their old Chevy trucks there and one old truck is real close to where I live here in Nampa ..the truck reminds me of the one you can see on U-Tube with the canopy on it twisting the frame in a fast take off.. Sleeper's is what these old fast rigs were called. I never took a photo of the race track beings it was so close by ,,but here is one I found of it. I cannot go to day Ricky as my wife is not feeling well enough for me to leave her alone ..

Re: Boise area folks
It went well. We only had one real clean up to do. Some guy's car overheated and we stopped just before the tree started. There were no other issues and lots of cars.

Keeping this alive, at least for a little bit longer. Tomorrow there's the Spring Swap Meet at the track. I'm sure you probably find some treasures there.
