Got a minute for an educational lesson. What's the difference between the three speed trans and this four speed for the 46 model? Is this the same back through 41? Any other info appreciated. I have a 42 with the three speed, just thinking... Thanks again. LILREDGMC |

Your 3 speed is syncroed in 2nd and 3rd. The 41-46 4 speed has no syncros at all. Starting in 47-67 the SM420 4 speed was used and is syncroed 2,3,and 4. There are threads on here for using it pre 47. You have some newer choices also like a T% out of an s10.
