Thumbs up The Truck Shop, Crossville Tn

I was in Tenn around Christmas and decided to make a trip over to see Jerry Brown at The Truck Shop in Crossville. He and his staff were all very nice, Jerry showed me all around his shops and answered all my questions and didn't seem to mind when I drooled on parts. He sold me some parts for cheap and even gave me a piece of trim I had asked about. Great southern hospitality. Don't tell my wife, but it was the highlight of my trip (and it was a good trip too). Thanks Jerry and the gang.

When I did the majority of my restore - 95% of it came from Jerry. Excellent to deal with. He even got me a small letter (1967) GMC tailgate! Sorry 1967 guys, it's a 1971, but I like yours better. Hehe.

And,collects Schwinn Sting Rays...
Who was that big boy that worked with him?He wore glasses, had a beard and redish hair?I want to say Clarence or Cletus. It`s been awhile,I just wondered if he was still around.
That Jerry`s a fool for details,I`ll give him that.(did I say that earlier?)

Re: The Truck Shop, Crossville Tn

i haven't been there since the early 90's when i lived on renegade mtn.the guy that was working there, was a guy named sean i belive.he was jerry's brother son.and yeah he is particualr bout detail.there was a guy came in [story goes from jerry].with a 95 silver rado that was competely loaded everything that you could think to put in a truck.asked jerry bout trading for a 72 CST i think that they had just finished[beautiful truck i seen it before while it was in finishing]but anyway long story short jerry traded sold the 95 thee days later. [wanted 12,000 for the 72, 95 was worth more then that. jerry made alot of money of that 95 more then what he wanted for that 72]

Re: The Truck Shop, Crossville Tn

They are great to deal with, I ordered some bolt kits, fender rubber, and brake lines a couple of months ago.... They called me back with the total, and it arrived about 3 days later.....

That is great!!! I will definately be a repeat customer.....

Re: The Truck Shop, Crossville Tn

Unfortunately, I think “the Truck Shop has closed its doors. I tried calling the numbers listed today, and all I got were “number no longer in service” messages.
In the past, I went in to their shop a few times, and they were real good people to deal with.
I hope I’m wrong, because I now drive through Crossville about ever other month, and was actually planning a stop for next week. Bummer
