Dallas Tx Area Machine Shop

Local DFW guys....

Looking for a machine shop for some steering column shaft work. Can't seem to get any info from local shops near me I've reached out to & getting frustrated. So, I thought I would see if anyone local (75041 zip) had any suggestions.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

.

I've used Bill Spence Engines in Sherman TX. His shop was recommend by a close friend who has used him as well. He did me fair and his work was solid.

Re: Dallas Tx Area Machine Shop

I ended up using the machine shop my job uses (Kimbrell Machine in Garland TX).

They replied to my e-mail & apologized for the delay in responding. I dropped the shaft & a DD u-joint (for measuring) off last Thursday & picked the finished part up today. They do minimum $65/hr fee & said $120 for the quote. When I picked it up they only charged me $65 because of the long running relationship w/my work. I'm happy & it's machined precise. They even beveled the edge.
