You Never Know What Will Park Next to You

So I had to run some errands today taking me to the next town over, abut 15 miles. Had to to decide what vehicle to use. Have five to choose from, everything from a 2019 Sierra to a 67 Camaro. The Sierra gets driven a lot. The 72 C20 has been driven a bit lately, so I decided to get the 69 Camaro out for the duty. I haven't driven it in a few months.

Now it does not matter what vehicle I drive, I do not like to park in crowds. I am one of those who will park in the boonies and walk to avoid door dings from dumb butts. Any way, today was no different. Everywhere i went I parked way out and walked.

So when I stopped to get a sandwich I parked as far out as I could. No one else around me. Then I come out and find a vehicle parked right next to me. Normally I would not care for this at all. However, I kind of liked this vehicle even though I am not a Blazer kind of guy.

So what exactly is a K5 Blazer? It was a nice driver condition truck. I did not stick around long enough to find out who was driving it. Maybe someone from this site?

Re: You Never Know What Will Park Next to You

Killer Camaro!!! I get it, I do the same when I’m in everything I own. I’ll do anything I can to avoid giving some ass hat the opportunity to door me. In my Camaro and my K20 both I have had some cool stuff park next to me. This Chevelle in Vegas was pretty bad ass. The next morning there was a newer challenger that joined in. I don’t mind if guys like this park next to me because I’m confident they will respect my car like I will respect there’s. If anything I feel safer with someone like that next to me.

What's a K5 Blazer? Only the coolest truck ever made... It's a 4WD... and a sport truck... and a convertible. I'd rather drive my K5 than my Z28 convertible. No offense to anyone, but it's my favorite vehicle.

Re: You Never Know What Will Park Next to You

Seems I am in a large club LOL!

My first thought after posting the pic was, "wow the Camaro looks like I photoshopped it into the pic at a smaller scale than the truck". However, the Camaro is lowered and that makes it look small.

I was at Jersey Mike's. Apparently you know the area very well.

The 69 is the "bad boy" of the family. Far from stock. Handles like a slot car. Lots of fun. The 67 is more of the "boy next door". It is pretty stock with just a few improvements. I don't think I have posted pics of either so here are a couple. I hope I didn't shrink them so much they get grainy.

I always enjoy when another car enthusiast of almost any kind parks next to me. I know we are on the same page as far as vehicle respect.

I do the same thing.

Re: You Never Know What Will Park Next to You

That is fantastic. Figure a person knows they are safe parking next to you because you don't want door dings any more than they do.

Love the Camaros. Have always wanted a 67 or 68 but never have.

A good friend of mine, lives straight west of where you were parked. Up until a couple of years ago he had a 69 Camaro, same paint color, same wheels, tires as yours. His was not a SS though. He seldom drove it, sold it.
I'm sure I've seen your car around...

67rs/ssx2, very nice camaros you have there. I used to park far away and still would with nice stuff. With my current 71 RS Camaro I've gotten sloppy and park with normal cars lately. The no shiny paint life is a lot less worrying. I did just acquire a 68 Camaro. It's basically a shell and will most likely become a street strip car.
