Any ideas where to mount a 3 point seat belt for 2nd row

I'm working on my 69 burban trying figure out the best location for mounting 3 point seat belts for the original full length 2nd row seat? Was also considering using a 2nd row seat out of an 05 burban.
Any help or pictures would be appreciated, thank you.

I used 3 points in my '69 2nd row. I will have to see if I took any pictures. I remember I put 4" x 3/16 thick washers under the rear floor for support.

Re: Any ideas where to mount a 3 point seat belt for 2nd row

Somewhere around here there is a thread about how to do that. I seem to remember they installed a 12 or 18 inch piece of flat bar behind the sheet metal below the edge of the headliner to attach the upper mount. Do a search, it may have been part of someone's build thread. I just remember being annoyed I didn't see it before I re-did my headliner.

I agree with HO455, I did a quick search but came up empty. Like he said, probably in a burb build thread.

Thank you gentlemen for the guidance on the upper mounting point. Can a person use the existing holes in the floor where the male end lap belt goes to mount the 3 point retractable base?

Re: Any ideas where to mount a 3 point seat belt for 2nd row

The factory belts bolted to the rear seat brackets. I don't think you could get the retractors to work properly bolted to the seat bracket. Most retractors are sensitive to their mounting angle. I.E. they generally need to be mounted vertical or the retractor mechanism won't work.

The thread linked may help visualize what I'm attempting to explain. Vectorit has some good photos of the underside of the mounts on the first page of the thread.
