LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

I'm in the process of doing a swap. Ls1 from a 98 Camaro into a 1973 Chevy truck s/wheelbase.

Engine: LS1 from 98 Camaro, modified with LS6 heads, LS6 intake manifold, 5 pin mass air flow, twin horn air intake. comp cams kit LSR 281-289 113. Headers from Street & Performance. Taylor 10.4mm ignition wires. Full set of billet pullys

No heater or A/C unit

Transmition: 4L60E

ford 9"

Strage center section with 4.11 gears

Rear suspension : 4 link from ridetech with ridetech adj. coilovers

Exhaust: dual, headers from Street & Performance 2 1/2" collectors, Hooker aero chamber mufflers, on 2 1/2" pipes, stainless tips from Cherry Bomb

Radiator: Griffin aluminum with trans cooler, in/out water lines on passenger side. Trans cooler lines on driver side.

Gas Tank: I will be running only 1 16 gallon tank from a 87 with in tank fuel pump, reason for upgrade is for the in tank baffles so the engine wont starv.

Gauges: Autometer

Harness: stock harness and computer, modified harness and re-tuned computer

Brakes:2010 C6 Corvette style front- 14" 6 piston rear-13.5" 4 piston - master cylinder from Wilwood note: may encounter vaccum issues due to cam and massive breaks, if so i will run an electric vaccum canister

More to follow.....

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Any recommendations on the electric fan? i think I'm gonna go with the Jegs single 16" S-Blade 2200 CFM puller. The engine and tranny had 70K+ miles.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

i'm planning on the same radiator... but i gotta look into this. http://hotrodlane.cc/77chevytruck/77chevy.htm

apparently you can order the fans to go with the radiator.

btw, (if you dont mind) how much did the radiator alone set ya back?

here's a couple more options too...

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Those are not 98 model heads 97&98 LS1s had perimeter bolt valve covers VS the center bolts on the 99 & up

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

There not LS6 heads either. LS6 heads have a 243 casting number. It looks like 799 on these or 79somthing
