Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds

Let's see if this one works. My Johnny Cash Special 75 Cheyenne Super (2x)on 77 4x4 Chassis with 89 front conversion.Fenders and hood are from a 84-5. 3in. body lift,4in susp.lift 35's.Me and My Wife built this truck. Future plans include: 3/4 or 1-ton axles, ( already got a 14BFF SW from a sub, just need to find the right front or convert my 44 to 8-lug) bigger winch, onboard air & welder (?) maybe a locker in the rear, stouter bumpers, ect.

It's a cool truck, like all the chrome, and the fog lights in the bumper don't look outta place like many other models would. As for the grille, the one you have is actually way cooler than a model-correct one like mine

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds

Thanks. I love this truck. Bought it on e-bay with no engine/trans/transfer. It had a Western snow plow bracket on the front and no bumper. I bought the new brackets and that bumper from LMC. I'm going to post a review about it on the board some day. The rest of that chrome was on it already, and I have no idea where the piece above the grill on the front of the hood came from, but I'd love to find out. Someday I have to peel all that off and re-paint.

How much of a drop, and what kind? 3/4 spindles/shackles/hangers?

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds

I used DJM lower control arms and a DJM flip kit in the rear. Which came out to be a 3/5 drop.
