Chopped AD truck stolen in Austin 4/9/10

This just popped up on the HAMB and I decided to post it here as we seem to have the largest contingent of AD truck people.

White 1951 Chev pickup, Chopped with green trim.

Just in case someone gets offered parts with too shiny of white paint or hears of someone suddenly coming up with a Chopped AD truck project.

Here's the thread on the HAMB

I saw that earlier today too ...... just makes you sick to see thieves getting away with this ........ one was just recovered in the Atlanta area but it was stripped to the bone. What a shame.

Re: Chopped AD truck stolen in Austin 4/9/10

Updated a bit. One of the owners friends posted this on Ebay. Quite a bit more information on the truck.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=170495514668

From that it's pretty obvious that a lot of the pieces on the truck are very distinctive and should be easy to spot.

Love the Q&A. He's right, some people don't pay attention and someone WILL bid...I sure hope it gets found.

Re: Chopped AD truck stolen in Austin 4/9/10

I know, I posted it and this is an update with the Ebay link with better photos and info. That is in hope if someone on here happens to see the truck or maybe part of it show up somewhere.
My personal theory is that who ever stole the truck has figured out that it is too identifiable and hot to ever try and show up with it or part of it outside of the drive train.
All of the hot flatz in the world won't disguise that truck enough so people won't recognize it.
