Recognize This Part?

These came in a box of parts I recently acquired and not sure just what they are. They are bearings of some sort but don't recognize them. Measure
1 1/2'' in dia. - 3/8'' thick - with 3/4'' center hole. Full bag of them which is open, each bearing in a GM plastic pouch with # 2833268 ink stamped on it. Bag has 9614 in lower rh corner? Any ideas would help.

Re: Recognize This Part?

Is there a thin valley around the outside edge? Wondering if they might be PCV grommets for valve covers.

Just guessing, maybe window crank assembly?

Re: Recognize This Part?

No valley or groove on outside edge. All metal body, inner section rotates smoothly inside the outer shell. Definitely a bearing, just not familiar with it and when I googled the stamped # on the individual bags nothing came up for an application. Just a series of bearing pictures. ????

May take them to a retired mechanic buddy of mine and see if he has an idea of what they are.

That may be a possibility, just not sure about an application.

Could they be for exhaust valve rotators?

Re: Recognize This Part?

They remind me of bushing for the end of some shock mount, one for each side of a shock to act as a cushion spacer between the shock and the frame mount.

I was thinking it might be the bearing that's installed in a upper strut mount.
Just a wild guess.

Re: Recognize This Part?

Right now I'm really clueless as to just what they are. Recognize them as a bearing of some sort but that is about all. Guess will let them sit in the parts shed for awhile and see if that helps, LOL.

Re: Recognize This Part?

Was there 16 of them in the bag? Still leaning towards the exhaust rotators,I havent got any cylender heads but if you can find a old chevy engine check the exhaust valves.

BINGO! Nailed it. Adding in a couple more pics of the profile. Bit blurry, my digital is old for good close ups but should get the idea. 13 of the smaller profile and 7 of the larger or taller profile. Bag had been opened and stapled closed. Would they have any use or value to someone who is building an engine? I have no BBC engines, have always been a SBC guy.
