Re: 71 Below Eyeline Mirror Arms

Bought my new SS arms at NAPA. They use SS bolts instead of OEM-style acorn nuts & studs. Same size & shape as OEM arms.

NAPA # LIT97869, OReilly Truck-Lite 97869

Re: 71 Below Eyeline Mirror Arms

I think they are both aftermarket. The one on the right is close but the bolt bracket on OEM is centered unless it’s just the way the picture is taken.

Good eye craneboy, I completely missed that it wasn't centered. Same style as OEM other than that. Nice catch!

Yes, NAPA has correct replacement heads too, although the drawing indicates the bracket isn't quite centered. Props to Randy for posting part numbers.

Re: 71 Below Eyeline Mirror Arms

Be advised that NAPA mirror is painted white. I think the truck lite is Stainless.

Try NAPA #97680. It includes arms which may not fit. Better still, anyone looking for these should go to a store to make sure what they're getting. Chances are the head is available separately.

My early '69 (Dec, 1968) came new with the mirror brackets off center. I realize that most were centered, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of mirrors with the off center bracket being original. That said, I agree that at least most were centered. Since these mirrors were first used on the '69s, it's possible that that a change was made soon after their introduction. It's also possible that mine were shipped in error to GM.
