Good ol days from the board ... Contests
Tossing out a million or so DVD'S, remember when we used those for storage lol.
Ran across some pics from ancient PS Contests. My Lincoln and my Burb. Ill include a shot of one of the pics I made up for the trophy company to use for the plaques I gave out... Last edited by CG; 11-11-2018 at 04:18 PM. |

Not all, but a bunch of them ... These were fun contests. It used to be much more lively in the PS section of the board

Re: Good ol days from the board ... Contests
I sold it ages ago. That car was a love hate relationship. It was something I had always wanted. 61 Lincoln convertible was on my someday list. I found it in Hemmings. Was the first to call, flew to Connecticut in the middle of winter to check it out. Bought it and had it shipped back to the NW. Great looking ride, but had so many weird gremlins. Finally got sick of having a great looking car that I was afraid to drive any distance. A guy wanted it badly and I didn't lose a cent on the deal, so off it went. Made me sick when I saw it again. Giant wheels, ugly blue cloth top .. blah

Re: Good ol days from the board ... Contests
I understand. They are definitely interesting. This was bought by a friend sight unseen, and shipped to PA from AZ. Beautiful paint job, factory upholstery on the seats, and an engine with low compression. I pulled the motor, had it rebuilt and installed it. It runs great now. I got the car last year.
The 61 we have is all original except for 1 repaint. Documented mileage under 11,000. Here's the 61: |

Right? I can see Dave Kindig making it happen!
I'd take a couple feet out of the middle but it would sure get a lot of attention!

Re: Good ol days from the board ... Contests
A mid-engine would be cool! It would have to be that or rear engine.
