Whole floor or patch panels?
What would be the best route. Replace the whole floor with braces or patch panels? I know I have to replace both rockers, both front door posts, both kick panels and two small cab floor braces. The floor itself is just rusted near the rockers on both sides.

Re: Whole floor or patch panels?
I would replace the whole floor the patch panels are great if you know how to tig weld if you do then do the patch panels. the problem I have ran into is the metal of the origional floor is thinner and thicker in places so when you try to weld the patch in with a mig your spot weld will pop or explode because your to hot in that area so you turn your welder down then up ect with a tig it doesnt matter how thin or thick it is you control the heat with the petal

Re: Whole floor or patch panels?
I'm working with a mig welder. Leaning toward doing the whole floor as one piece that way I know I have a nice solid floor and I won't have to clean up the underside.

Buy the time you buy all the prices you be better off doing the hole floor. Less work to do the whole floor.
