Detailing a hubcap...What paint to use?
This is what I have. Not a speck of paint left in the center.
 This is what I want. How it came from the factory. But how to do it??? What paint?? I have no paint skills.

Just a thought but perhaps tape off the areas not needing to be painted, paint the entire area black. After allowing a bit of drying time but before totally dry use Q-tips and small amount of thinner applied to lightly clean the paint from the raised Packard lettering? May take some practice but with time I would think could obtain decent results.

No way in heck you are going to get anything acceptable doing it by hand. Use a paint stick and a cloth with some solvent and "file" off the extra paint surrounding the recess. Simlpy mask the red center part. |
