Relay Rod End Clips

The endclip on one of the relay rods going to my Hatch Lock came off and was lost.
The Hatch is unlocked by twisting a T-handle; pulling long relay rods going to the Hatch Latches on either side. As the rods move inboard, the pull unlocks the latch.
They are like the ones used in the doors for the door locks, but the Hatch ones are longer. Anyone know of a source?

Re: Relay Rod End Clips

Check Motor City K5 - some business was offering replacements and I believe it was them.

Re: Relay Rod End Clips

I found some of those style clips at Napa auto parts in the past. It was at least a couple years ago and the counter guy said they had been discontinued and his supply was down to less than 10 clips. You might get lucky and find a Napa that still has some.

I used the same clip as the door rod on my hatch rods and they seem to work ok. They took a little patience to install though.

Thanks, I'll check out NAPA. Before I mickey-moused it with a few turns of aircraft safety wire, but that broke. I had to reach in with needle-nose vicegrips to tug on the passenger side rod to get it loose.
For now, I took off the P/S catch hardware, so only the D/S grabs it.

Auto parts stores used to sell the door clips in the HELP section, but lately they have more and more plastic crap, and less parts for real trucks.

I will look them up, thanks. Last time I checked MC K/5, they had some rediculously high prices. But I guess they know they're the only game in town.
