Smile Free Cans of Vinyl/Plastic Paint

Free:

2 cans SEM Vinyl/Plastic flexible paint, 1 can is 15033 Saddle Tan and the other can is 15323 Palomino Tan. Both cans are pretty full. You pay for the shipping from zip 97008 and they are yours. Went to black interior color, so these are just taking space in the garage. First to claim them gets them.

any pointers on interior painting. I am considering painting an old bezel either gray or blue. my interior is gray and blue.

The bezel is now black, and so is the dash trim molding. What is your thought on that, since you went back to black. (blue, gray or black for both pieces).
Also any tricks to make sure that vinyl paint stays on and wont come off first time it gets claned or hit>
I would appreciate any imput.

FYI: Shipping on these flammable things are going to be $$$ if they will ship it. When you go to the post office they ask you if aerosol, flammable, etc. Hopefully you can ship them cheap enough.

First thing, make sure the surface to be painted is very clean. I used some mineral spirts to clean the surface and used vinyl paint that I got from Home Depot. On some areas where I didn't do a good job in cleaning, didn't adhere very good and peeled. I sanded the surface lightly and re-cleaned the area, then repainted and its OK now. Eastwood sells a vinyl paint thats suppose to be the best, but it costs more.

I painted my bezel black, but I installed a billet dash bezel cover over it. I also have a billet dash trim piece too. My dash cover is black already, since I bought it that way.

Brandon is correct about USPS not shipping things like paint and other potential dangerous items. But I think UPS and FedEx does. How else does Eastwood ship their paints and stuff? By UPS of course.

thanks so much for your info on how you painted your bezel, etc. I am in the process of doing the same thing. Chevychic gave me some info as well.
I will try it.
thanks

Actually other paints should work. The vinyl paint is more for things that bends or flexes a good deal of the time, like seats. I in fact used an appliance expoxy paint on the dash bezel. The paint is more durable and resists scuff marks. Got the paint at Home Depot. Its made by Rustoleum.

I used products similar to Armorall and other vinyl preservatives, and always had colored stained cloth in the end when used on a painted surface. I suggest just using a damp cloth.
