I guess farmers ag went by the wayside like home economics too?

Our local schools still offer shop and Home Ec. but you have to sign up for them. They are no longer required like back when I was in school a few years ago ( cough). I think they should still be mandatory as well as a real life class that teaches how to do your checkbook balances, simple taxes ( is there such a thing) and other daily life chores that some parents may not be good at either. But that is just me rambling on...............

back home they still have shop classes..

I donated all these small engine machines to a local business that distributes them to local school shop classes..

mom and I both struggled to figure out how to get rid of all that clutter and really warmed us up to find out our friend Doug does this.. Dad kept everything whether it would ever run or be used again or not.. although there is a bit of sentimental value there, he would have approved.. his '39 model 60 JD two banger underwent a 2 year restoration project at fort osage high school years ago.. he was so proud of those kids

the kids can repair and sell them, part out the ones beyond repair, etc. to donate or sell for school programs..

still hope for youth in our neck of the woods anyway

and yes I had to bring the truck back, too far to walk

That is what I keep telling myself as well. Just hoping there are enough kids that maintain interest in this kind of stuff to keep the programs going. They shut down our local plumbing program at Votech because no one signed up for the course.

Walmart installed a medical kiosk, for $10 and a urine sample, it would diagnose any condition. When my friend went with a sore elbow, the computer printout read "You have tennis elbow. Soak it in warm water and avoid heavy work for 2 weeks" Impressed, my friend wondered if he could fool the machine.
He mixed tap water with dog crap, urine samples from his wife and daughter, and then pleasured himself into the mixture.
When he put the sample into the machine the next day, the printout read: "1. Your tap water is too hard. Use softener. 2. Your dog has ringworm. Give it antibiotics. 3. Your daughter is on cocaine. Get her to rehab. 4. Your wife is expecting twins. Not yours. Get a lawyer. 5. If you keep playing with yourself, your ****ing tennis elbow won't get better!

A State Trooper pulled over a Man for Speeding one afternoon. After the car pulled over the officer took the Gentleman out of the car and told him to put his hands on the hood of his car.

The Trooper told the man, "Sir, the reason i stopped your vehicle is you were going 80 miles over the posted speed limit and it took me miles to catch up to you." The man looked at the Officer and said "I'm sorry Officer but theres a good reason why I was Speeding"

The Officer looked at the Man and said "if you can give me one good reason why you were Speeding, I will let you off with a warning."

The man began to explain.... "A few years ago my Wife ran off with a State Trooper and when I saw you in my rearview mirror I panicked. I thought You Were Bringing Her Back."

The officer LAUGHING told the man, "Have a Nice Day......"
