Replacing interior floor pan seam sealer...??

As i have been tearing apart the inside of my truck cab, of course the 40+ year old caulk, rubber crack filler, im not sure what it is, has chipped off.

what i am refering too (im not sure of proper names for things, so ill use the best of my knowledge) is the filler they use in the cab for the floor pan joints and such.

My ? is about replacing that, do you use silicon caulk, or is theirs some automotive seam sealers?????

If someone could let me know what they have used, cause my definetely needs to be replaced, that would be awesome

What you want is called seam sealer. It's available in caulking gun tube style or in a can that is brushable. Many different brands such as 3-M, etc.

Do not use silicon. Paint does not stick very well

I use a 3M product called "Fast 'N' Firm". You should be able to get it at any automotive paint supply house.

3M™ Fast N Firm™ Seam Sealer, Part# 08505.
