Running a convex passenger or even driver mirror?

Hey folks,

I'm not sure who I will buy my 70-72 door mirrors from when the time comes but I noticed today that LMC has a convex passenger side mirror. I really like the idea of running one of those. I'm wondering if anyone has tried converting a driver side mirror to convex. Maybe swap the passenger side head on to the driver side base?

Opinions, ideas?

This will be my daily driver, in Los Angeles traffic. Visibility is paramount. I run 2006 towing mirrors on my '85 Blazer, but those might look funny on my '68.

I've got the old jungle gym mirrors, inaddition to the convex mirrors done by a PO.
They did use the factory stem.
Not sure if I'd want only convex mirrors.
