Using 60-66 battery tray as auxiliary driver side??
Anyone try using a 60-66 tray on the driver's side of a 67-72? They look damn near the same as the so called "auxiliary" trays. They seem to be flat and have forward facing bolt holes. Of course the battery hold down is different
 but it's not a deal killer. just wondering

Nobody? Not even hearing about someone trying it before?
Seems Brother's is the only company selling the auxiliary driver trays, but they are always on back order. I've called a couple times over 6 months and still nothing. At least the wait is for something made locally and not something coming from Taiwan.

I bought a real nice ORIGINAL auxiliary battery tray, four years ago, for $110. I posted a wanted-to-buy ad on this website and ended up having TWO to choose from. . . . . |

i have a pretty nice tray i pulled from a 62. it has a pinhole on the pan but not bad at all. its for sale

There's one of these in great shape other than a folded flange from a front end collision. I just might pick it up for a board sale, I didn't think they'd bring over 40 bucks.

There was one for sale here about a year ago, it was cleaned and powder coated, pretty pricy and nobody bought it if i'm not mistaken..
