Re: Washer Jar questions

I would run a fused lead off the drivers side terminal block on the radiator core to the pump. Then run the ground side to the cab, thought the switch and to ground under the dash. That would save you some wiring run. Make sure switch is rated for current draw of pump. Otherwise run a relay.

Re: Washer Jar questions

All the parts you need are available from LMC Trucks.

Look at items 9, 12, 13, 16

Here is the LMC tank on my 70 GMC.

Re: Washer Jar questions

What is the part no. of this LMC kit?
You probably just need to run the red wire to a Hot when the key is on power source .

Re: Washer Jar questions

I wire mine to the original washer plug at the wiper motor. The Wiper/Washer provides the ground circuit when you push the button in. There is a blue and yellow wire at the plug. One is hot with the key on, the other shoots the ground when given the go. Make sure your switch is tight as it gets its own ground that way. I can take a picture if you like. I always ditch the factory pump set up and replace it with the S10 style. Fits great under the hood.

Re: Washer Jar questions

Instructions didn't come with this aftermarket redesign item that never came on these trucks?? They just leave you guessing how to use this adaptation they conjured up that you handed them money for? Ask them.

Special-K the washer just cane with the jar and the buttons and hoses that’s all. Think it’s stupid too.
