Now, this could be a whole "other" story ... This Cool Bus has the rear already lowered and the right nose. Just beggin' for a builder like yourself to create a Sweet ride. And that's a short bus I would ride in.

Barrett Jackson was really the initiator of all these folks thinking their $1500 junk in the garage is worth $15,000. They basically contributed to the car hobby being priced out of sight and unreachable for the "blue collar man"

"I saw one of these sell on Barrett Jackson for $150,000"

Re: Rottenwood Garages C50 Hauler project about to begin!

Its been a while and quite a few cool vehicles have sat on her deck....no telling how many school busses we have encountered!!

UPDATE: We did go ahead and swap out the rear HO72 for one out of a square body. It was time for drums and has some seal sealing issues. Out with the old....

Re: Rottenwood Garages C50 Hauler project about to begin!

fixed for ya. If you are using I phone or the like to take pictures and rotate them on the computer. I have been told you need to save them in a different folder than the original or they will rotate back to original settings. I use android so don't have an issue with it.

Re: Rottenwood Garages C50 Hauler project about to begin!

hello, new to the site. i was reading your thread and wondering if you had to modify the front of the chassis in any way, due to the shorter wheel base. i just picked my c50 up and been looking at frames and all my options to do this sort of build, but was thinking a normal 1969 frame wouldnt work, i have been told the front tires sit 6'' closer to the cab than on a standard c20. and just came across this thread and was wondering if you had to make any major mods to the frame?

I set the cab on the C30 frame where the wheels were centered in the opening and extended the bed to fill in the gap. I also run single wheels up front as the dually wheels did not look right without spacers.

Did you even think it would be this much fun? Cool, sure. Fun, yeah. But sometimes it's better than expected
