Re: Pics of your truck in the snow

I love all the pics guys.

Well we still have snow here... Pictured is my 68 parts truck. Kinda a bad pic maybe should have been on the other side.

Props to anyone who can guess what this is... Right now the mirror is actually completely covered. hint: not GM

Another angle.

I can't remember the last time it's snowed here on a weekend, let alone 4-5".

We never get snow, so I took a lot of pics...

I like that! Back in the '80s when I was plowing snow I always want to build a just for plowing dream rig. Take a Blazer, put a 1/2 cab on, 1t or at least 3/4t axles, built up TH400, paint hiway dept yellow like your truck, non-reflective black on top of hood, gloss black wheels with silver bead area & lug nuts, salt spreader on back.

Re: Pics of your truck in the snow

I went out to do a little target shooting and see how the snow conditions were where we go four wheel'in (Browns Camp) and the truck was doing great, so I tried one more hill and got stuck, really stuck! Lucky I brought my new MaxTrax and had a shovel. I was only two hours late for dinner. Fun Stuff!

Re: Pics of your truck in the snow

It's basically stock. I found a set of 3 leaf front springs off a 1981 K20 (paid 10 bucks for them) and made the two leaves fit under my stock front main leaf, this gave me a 1 inch lift in the front. I had some two inch blocks laying around, so I replaced the stock 1 inch block with these and it turned out really good. I'm running 255x85x16 tires on the ford 16 x 7 inch wheels to try and keep the stock look too.

Hi there!

Lovin' these ND winter pictures! I grew up in Grand Forks and now live near Minneapolis because the wife's family is down here. I'll have to look in my old box of photos and see if I have any winter pictures of my old green beast. It was my granddpa's after his brother in law had it and it came outta Bowman, ND. I'll keep an eye out for more pictures.

12 hours later. Lived here since 88 first time I've seen an honest 12" of snow here, let alone in one night. I feel like I'm a kid back in Idaho.
