Windshild Wiper pump replacement

So after having issues with my pump and didn't want to do all the work (with AC) and didn't really care about rebuilding old one . So I also went to napa and bought their universal kit. Ran wires from ground to pump, power side of pump to to a push button under dash, the other side of switch to fuse under ignition on fuse box. Works great maybe too well and had to readjust the nozzles. Total money spend 40bucks with pump kit, extra wire, switch, bracket, and 7 feet of hose

I think I will be doing basically the same thing soon.
I like the switch idea.

Re: Windshild Wiper pump replacement

I ran a Universal pump off the yellow and blue wires going to the original pump and my OE wiper switch runs the new pump . I did it to my '67 and my K5.

Re: Windshild Wiper pump replacement

I have an S10 res w/ the pump on it somewhere and was planning to wire that to the original connection on the wacky factory pump. The S10 res is larger.

Do your self a favor. Go to the local pull yard and get the spray nozzles off a late model Tahoe are which ever and put them on the wiper arms. You can thank me later. Get a full swipe of the water and it cleans the window much better.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

These are off the rear window of 99 Tahoe and up. Esclades and others all have them even the ford's SUV's have them.

I also ran my electric pump off of the original switch. No need for the under dash stuff.

Get the washer bottle too... It has the pump inside the tank.
