Re: working cowl hood

On 67-69 Camaros the cowl hoods have sheet metal ring as part of the hood assembly that feeds air from the back of the hood. The Camaro air cleaner has a bigger base with a small air cleaner and lid. Then a rubber seal around the base to seal it to the bottom of the hood. The only tricky part would be getting the air cleaner lined up with the bottom of the opening in the hood. Who knows if the hood supplier actually considered engine position when they built the cowl hood.

Re: working cowl hood

The cowl hood I put on my 67 does not have the Sheetmetal ring under side of the hood for the breather, it would require a lot of fabrication to make it work.Jeff
