how the... help please

How in the heck do you get the headlight knob off? I can't wait for my factory service manual . Help please, SWMBO is going to cut me off here soon.

there is a button on the switch that is spring loaded, just push and hold down while pulling on the knob. that will leave the lights on so you can just push the knob back in to turn off, just don't push hard enough to relatch it. been a long time but I believe it is on the bottom of the switch.
