where can i get a "chevy sport" hood ornamant??

$200.00 to 300.00 for NOS

$50.00 to 100.00 for used

And I got one from kijiji....but that was 3 years ago and is the only one I ever saw there.

my uncle had some kind of special pkg stepside it was a bulldog and straight six had fan blade like wheels on it. any you guys know what that would have been?

What a neat truck to buy/restore in thread#28. But I have yet to see anybody reproduce the Chevy Sport Stripes. Maybe they never will. I often hear that large graphic arts companies can do it but I have my doubts until I see one. Larry

The local Chevy dealer restored a truck just like that blue 80.

Stripes were done by a local sign shop with their computer and turned out well

It helped that the original stripes were on the truck to start with

Picture before and after....cost for the stripes was $600.00

But the paint and bodywork were over $10,000.00

It was purchased from the original owner....factory bucket seats...sold new in Slave lake,Alberta

80SPORT: Thanks for the pictures/info. I assume he "saved" the pattern
for the stripes in case anybody else would want them. Do you know if he
has any other years of the Sport Stripes?? Larry

In our area there are 4 of the 79 and 80 Chevy Sports he has done and he has the patterns for those.I have a 78 that may get restored after a couple of other projects are complete...we will have to develop the stripe kit from pictures unless i can find an original.And I am still looking for a 77 sport....I will address the stripe issue when I find one.

Sorry if there is a better place to ask this, but did they ever produce the Jimmy Street Coupes?
I ask because I saw this for sale and it looks like it had a graphic at one time and the graphic seems familiar?

As far as I know the Jimmy Street Coupe was a prototype only.

I think there was a magazine test article.

They also made a S15 jimmy street coupe...I have the brochure.

I recall all of the Indy support trucks being pickups (no utilities).
