Dremel Pumpkin carving tool

SUCKED. Made a big fat mess. Was hard to cut with. I even used rotozip bits. Did the job in the end but the Black and Decker corded dremel too was much better, but it still sucked too. Maybe the air saw next year.

Re: Dremel Pumpkin carving tool

I made a carving tool out of a jigsaw blade. Ground it down to a point, took some dowel and cut a slot in it, epoxied the blade into the dowel, thing works great! I too tried my dremel on a pumpkin, what a freakin mess that makes!

Re: Dremel Pumpkin carving tool

I was thinking more along the lines of a big chainsaw but that also would make a huge mess.

Re: Dremel Pumpkin carving tool

We've been having pumpkin parties at our house since my sons were little. We invited friends and family and all of their little kiddos, (most of them are adults now). Lots of food and lots of fun for everyone. Some years we would have between 40 and 50 pumpkins. I've seen every kind of tool mess up a pumpkin, lol. Unfortunatly I dont have any pics of those days on my puter, pre digital camera, but here is this years. We really peared (spelling?) it down. My sons are the two on the left and my grand daughter is the little one. Sorry, my honey and myself arent in the pic. Next year we are considering having a pumpkin party reunion with everyone that has ever been, that should be out of control...but fun.

Re: Dremel Pumpkin carving tool

I like the tools in the little kits, even if you dont use the print, its easier making old scool pumpkins too.
