It's nice too see your still going at it. It's coming along really good. This is the kind of stuff that motivates me on my build. With that said, enough looking. I got to go work on mine!

UPDATE 4/10/11: Finally some post-worthy progress.

Been doing a bunch of work on the front Dana 44 over the past few weeks. I couldn't justify upgrading to a D60 with what I already had in the D44 and how I plan to drive the truck. However, I did want to make sure it could handle the BBC. So, here's my recipe for building one up:

Take one ARB locker...

And put it here...

then button up the pumpkin with a Ruffstuff diff cover

Bolt the axle in with a set of spring plates from Kert @ DIY4X

Now slide in a set of Yukon 4340 chromos with Superjoints

Finally, close up the hubs with a set of Warn Premiums.

I figured while I was at it, I might as well upgrade the steering. I contacted the Huisken boys at WFO Concepts for some crossover goodness. Start with a forged 2" steering arm to clear the Alcans

Add a 2wd steering box and a WFO pitman arm

Finally add a 1.5" .219 DOM drag link and tie rod. I still need to cut to length and get the inserts welded. I threw a rattlecan into the pic for reference.

That's all I have for the moment. More to come as parts are accumulating.

OK....so that wasn't enough for you? I also got some of the freshly painted parts on.

AC Delete heater box. I had to rework the right edge to match the contours of the firewall dish since I had opened it up to clear the BBC.

Core support and the new battery tray

Radiator hold down / cover from Hot Rod Dynamics (LINK)

Its amazing how just the core support will make it start to look like a truck again.

Looking good. I'm about to send my LQ4 computer out to have the anti theft removed and i'm gonna start chopping up the wiring harness pretty soon. Hopefully one of these days we can get them all back on the road.

UPDATE 5/28/11: Big ticket items. Mr Brown dropped off a couple more big ticket items recently. Spent some time at the shop today getting my radiator installed and my fuel cell test fitted. A nice bit of progress today.

Entropy Radiator. Aluminum, two row, 1" rows. Designed for a 67-72. Includes the dual Spal fans and the shroud.

Talk about laying a nice bead. That some welding right there.

Hot Rod Dynamics radiator cover fit smooth over the Entropy Radiator. No adjustments needed. Was kinda weird, others who'd tried this combo had some minor fitment issues.

20 gallon EFI fuel cell from Fuelcellguy here on the forum. Really nicely made.

Sits as high up as possible for maximum ground clearance. Doesn't hang down much for a 20 gallon tank.

Finished up my crossover steering.

Final fit on the fuel cell's next, then time to start plumbing.

I'm here. Been sending a bunch of $$ to Summit lately gathering parts to redo most of my fluid plumbing. AN fittings add up really fast in the shopping cart.

UPDATE 9/4/11 - Fuel Lines. Been slowly collecting AN fittings, hose, and tubing to plumb the truck. Finally found some time to get the fuel lines run. I'm going with -8AN supply and -6AN return.

Bent some aluminum tubing down the length of the frame for the hard lines. Supported about every 13" - 14". Used padded tube clamps and made up some spaces to get them off the frame rail.

Mallory fuel filter. Short run of Aeroquip braided stainless from the tank.

Engine side. Need to make a small bracket that will attach to the top bolt of the water pump. It'll hold a tubing separator to keep the lines in place.

Tranny cooler and power steering lines are next when I can find time.

It was a bit easier to clear the brake line and the other frame brackets this way. Additionally, since I'm running aluminum lines, I wanted to make sure I could isolate as much vibration as I could.
