That's where I got the single shot from. I like it, and the package makes me like it even more. I'll have something to look forward to this winter

I'm sure I'll end up buying the whole set. I like the '69, but the blue on the '07 Silverado makes that one my favorite of the set. I just wish they would have thrown a square body in there.

Me too, on the square body. Should be all Chevys. There are so many castings. I think I'll get them all, too. Extra Chevys to keep a set

I was into the Hotwheels for a very long time but just got burned out on all the changes.
I haven't bought as much as I use to. Just don't have the time. I'd love to have more of the 67-72 chevy truck stuff. I buy it when I run across it though!I'll buy other truck stuff to as long as it's cool looking to me!

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I was crazy into Hot Wheels collecting in the early and mid '90s when I was in high school. That's when I transitioned out of viewing my Hot Wheels as toys and viewing them as collectibles. I tried to buy every variation of every car I could get my hands on. Around '01, I took a semi-hiatus from collecting. I never stopped buying cars. The Hot Wheels aisle was always my first stop anytime I went to Wal-Mart, Target, Toys 'R Us, etc., but I just wasn't following the hobby, just picking random stuff up that I liked. I really got back into following the hobby and keeping up with things in '13 and it's my worst addiction. I try to narrow my focus to certain castings or series', but there are so many shiny things to catch my eye.

I keep an Excel file of my collection and the current count is just over 8,100 cars right now. That's just Hot Wheels. That's not counting Matchbox and other brands. I've been slowly going through my boxes stored at my parents' house so I can audit and reorganize everything and I'm adding the non-Hot Wheels brands into my spreadsheet as well.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Yeah, I grabbed anything cool in Hot Wheels any time I was anywhere that sold them. Might have even made a special trip just for that once or maybe twice . It started with buying for my older son, then the younger. They had a slew of them and I'd buy duplicates to surprise them when they got older. But I slacked off, gave them their duplicates, and pretty much sold off anything that isn't GM Truck.........................VW, hot rod, GM car. I did sell some of that stuff, but do selectively buy some still. I hung onto all the limited private printings. Probably second to the trucks is the '67 Camaro.

I guess they stock better stuff for Christmas. I was at Walmart and grabbed two '83 trucks (Fram), and a few other cars you never see there.

Nah, they just stock what they have. Your store dug out some old stock. The Fram trucks are from the 2015 H and J cases (7th and 8th cases), so they're right in the middle of the year's run. Most Wal-Marts are putting out 2016 C cases right now, but I've run into some fresh older 2015 cases mixed in with the new 2016 cases.

You are lucky ,I looked thru many states to find one of those NAPA trucks without success and finally got a couple thru a friend in Ohio who knew someone at the NAPA warehouse. It was worth waiting on though ,very nice.

I scored these today in Lincolnton NC while waiting to buy another toy!
Have you seen the Ford Falcon truck.
Looks like this but yellow and flames!
I started to get it. I found 4 of them but couldn't do it!

The '65 Ranchero. I've seen it and passed on it. The yellow one is a re-color of the metallic red flamed one you have pictured. I like the metallic red one much better than the yellow, but I'm just not a fan of the Ranchero.

I hear ya! I'm just not a Ford fan! I picked the first one up thinking it was the Luv truck.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Man, what a haul? Christmas came early for you. I'm late responding...lol

I've bought some Falcon Rancheros, LUVs, and those VW Caddys. Here's piece of Custom 69 Chevy trivia. Maybe some or all already know this, but I just realized the name changed to Custom 69 Chevy Pickup. I noticed there are now other Custom 69 Chevys l like the Vette, Impala, and Camaro, so Mattel added 'Pickup" to the name. Looks like the first "pickup" was the blue with flames Team Hot Trucks edition. I noticed it on the error one I have with no flames. The Treasure Hunt '69 doesn't say pickup, either. Custom 69 Chevy "Stepside" would have been cool. I haven't looked on Ebay for a long time. Just looked:

Keep your eyes open at Wal-Mart. These exclusive trucks are starting to appear. I haven't found them yet. There's a yellow '69 stepside in there.

Extra trivia - 2003 Radical Wrestlers says "Chevy 1969" and the 2000 Terry LaBonte only says "Pickup."

Re: Die-cast 67-72

One of my three local Wal-Marts got their Rad Trucks series out today. I hate to say it, but the '69 Chevy is one of my least favorites of the batch. The yellow with the gold & black graphics just does absolutely nothing for me at all.
