Not sure what the issue is today. Perhaps you should step away from the keyboard. This is the second time your posts have been reported and I have had to step in.
Please ensure it is the last.

To further discuss this topic, i was thinking about this the other day:

i wonder if the current silverados or even any truck after 87 will be looked upon/yearned for/ considered and treated as "classic" or collectable?

i mean, luminas and celebrities/ A-6000's, cutlass cieras are now 27+ yrs old, but you don't see anyone clamoring for them. (and remember, these are the direct decendants of the tri-5's) Well, really no front wheel drive cars you see anyone clamoring or dreaming about them.

The current silverados are nice (especially the 3/4 and 1 ton versions) but i feel they're a little too complex as far as electronics and engine managment to ever attain collectable/desireable status.

The 88-98 series of trucks are now 12-22 years old, but i actually see more 73-87's on the road

Re: "a true 10,912 mile original"

There has always been a strong interest in the 88-98 trucks and I already see them going the same route as the 67-72.You will always have great parts support for these trucks.GM "got it right" with these trucks, for the time and many years after, just as they did in 67-72.They were the end of the common link to the early trucks.I believe with all trucks they will always be cherished as years pass just as it`s always been.Cars are a different story. They pretty much have to be something special or exceptional to be of interest to most.

x2 we have a red 1997 z-71 two door Tahoe (big blazer) that I think will be collectable.

Re: "a true 10,912 mile original"

Has the 'winning bidder' actually paid for it yet? Sometimes, not always but sometimes, folks get carried away with themselves and can't get the $$ together. Not that I have any money to buy it, but I was just wonderin'. Hate to see him get stiffed on it. Great lookin truck.

Re: "a true 10,912 mile original"

Yes he has and its being loaded tonight headed for Louisianna. I think he will be coming to the board as I gave him all the sign on info. Very nice guy and he is just starting into 72 pickups as after buying this one he told me he bought another 72 4x4 closer to home. Even called a contractor to build a garage just for these trucks.
