Turn signals and reverse lights with CPP column
Howdy guys, I've completely restored my 68' c10 but I've yet to finish wiring my new CPP tilt steering column. I have a black wire with a green connecter which i think is for the reverse lights. Other than that i have this problem, when i step on the brake both of my turn signals up front come on, yet my neither of my turn signals work when i use the turn signal "stick". I've had them working before i put the new column in but i don't know what the deal is. Any help would be appreciated !

Re: Turn signals and reverse lights with CPP column
Google search links to some threads on the CPP tilt column. I don't think you are going to like reading them.
CPP tilt steering column site:67-72chevytrucks.com The black wire is most likely the horn wire which grounds the relay when the horn button is depressed. See if you have continuity to ground when the button is depressed. Your two front turn signal lights are most likely crossed in the turn signal switch with the brake light switch wire, They are light blue and dark blue in the OEM harness. The brake light switch wire is white OEM and should connect in the TS switch to the yellow and dark green wires in the harness. Yellow is left and dark green is right. Give us a breakdown on the wiring colors and you'll get plenty of help.

and like mentioned above, aftermarket columns are a crap shoot as to whether you get a good one

Re: Turn signals and reverse lights with CPP column
Hey guys thanks for all of the replys, i couldn't take it anymore and took my truck to Starlite Rod and Custom here in LA. They told me my steering column had been defective and send it back. Fortunately i live 40 min away from Cpp and took the drive and they were really cool about the whole deal. they switched the wiring and contacts for free (basically rebuilt the columns electronics) and i put that beefy back in the truck and the signals work. Now onto the reverse lights, ill check that out here on the forum

Re: Turn signals and reverse lights with CPP column
I have a CPP tilt column with a stuck/broken flasher button. Does anyone know if a GM/ACDelco tilt column turn signal switch will work in a CPP column?
