Engine of course sounds Awesome... heh, heh, heh. Wont it be fun to cruise some parking lots to set the car alarms off?

On another note... Wow... that fuel pump is loud too. Where and how do you have it mounted?
Mine is the Product Engineering race unit that Procharger recomended. Its Huge. Im mounting it underneath on rubber bushings that came with it on a bracket attached to the frame right behind the fuel tank.
Hopefully startup time is coming soon. Ive got all the parts, just not much spare time.

Cool Re: Prostreet / Dragrace 1972 blazer

OK so i got the truck finished at 2:30 a.m. sunday morning and made it through my tech inspection at 10 a.m. that morning. Thanks to the weather I only made one pass. I ran 12.2 at 102.6 , i spun the tire for 150ft and my 60 ft time was 1.7, I only ran it at 5000 rpms through each gear and let off before the finish line. Well at least it held together, and I was really quite pissed about driving threw the mud and water to get to staging lines. Only in alaska.Well today I loaded the truck up and had my friends at denali detail wax it up. next up the august first car show. wish me luck !! and everyone good luck and gods speed with there projects

Re: Prostreet / Dragrace 1972 blazer

Congratulations on completing your build. It looks great. I'd be interested in knowing how much a difference it makes on E.T. with or without the top on it. Once you get it dialed in anyway.

Re: Prostreet / Dragrace 1972 blazer

I love this truck.

It's nice to see a fast truck that actually looks nice too....so many guys will ignore one for the other, but this one is the complete package.

Obviously, you're still in the shakedown phase (motor break-in, suspension tuning, etc) but do you have a gut feeling about the kind of numbers it will eventually run? Any goals in mind?

I'm sure everyone would love to see a video clip next time you run it down the track!!

Re: Prostreet / Dragrace 1972 blazer

Ok so spur of the moment yesterday I decided to take the blazer to a carshow in evening. Out of 70-80 vehicles they gave out 4 awards and mine took best of show in competition vehicles. I never even built it 2 show and damn did that make me feal great. Now I am entering one more show this summer, with all my boys and there hotrod trucks. Then this sucker is getting driver/dragracer duty. LOL you can always repaint that ****.
