At least it is a CHEVY too!!!!!!

Here are a couple pics of my truck that I tried to use as my DD ever since I sold my new truck a few months ago. But I just could not do it as a DD so I bought this last week. Red of course.

Glad to see you have your priorities straight. I was worried you'd wear that '72 out. Besides, that "car" gets way better fuel economy.

It could be, with different tires & wheels.... Kind of apples & oranges, but we used to own a couple of mid-years. With excellent balance and weight distribution, and a limited-slip diff, they were actually great snow cars, very stable on slick roads and would go until high-centered (which admittedly didn't take much). Best non-4WD I have ever driven on plowed roads.

Oh btw... nice car, oughtta be a great DD!!

Re: At least it is a CHEVY too!!!!!!

I drove my C5 in the snow a few times (with all season tires on it). It worked, but was a little tricky with the manual and racing clutch.

Better than my G8 with the CRAPPY stock all season tires on it.

Nice daily...Texas has a winter? lol My buddy had a Dodge Viper as his daily driver year round up here a few years ago. Now that was fun to drive in all the rain and bad weather we get up here.

It's not as cool as the truck, but probably a little faster

it has original paint and the fear of a fender bender or someone hitting me drove me crazy.

I was surprised by that when I test drove an 05 a few years ago while working at a dealership....

and of course...trucks are really good at spinning the tires w/out much weight over the rear axle

Re: At least it is a CHEVY too!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong the 'vette is bad a__!! I guess I was going off the amount of snow Dallas got this year. But know that I actually looked to see where in Tx you are, I wouldn't be too worried about snow either.

That is true. The C-4 vette i had wouldn't brake the back tires loose. I think it had to do with the independent rear suspension and the wide tire width. Saves wear and tear on tires though! Those vette tires are expensive! Joseph
