Yep, that’s what I was told too.

I did finally have a chance to get the door panels assembled and installed with the new carpet lower pieces. I replaced the upper long brushed trim, door pull & chrome covers, velour inserts (went from light blue to a darker blue) and the armrests. My wife is putting new elastic in the door pockets, hence why they’re missing. But I do think it looks much better.

Before & after...

I’ve got to find a sport rear bumper. I just don’t like the big step on a lowered truck.

Re: 1987 R10...aka Belushi

I did drive it a little bit today just to get a feel for it. Man, it rides & handles really well! Still need the seat cover and the replacement headlights (hence why the headlight bezels aren’t in it) and then just drive it some.

Check out how well the paint shined up...

Got another email stating that it’s not the seat cover, it’s the missing hardware for the door panels.

I scored a sport bumper today. I’ll try to get it on this weekend.

Re: 1987 R10...aka Belushi

I did get the new Phillips Crystal Vision sealed beam headlights in and the cleaned up grille and the “new” bowtie back in. Looks better than the old sealed beams that had water leaks in them.

I like seeing the Center grille trim cleaned & polished up. I have built several grilles like this for people.

It’s been 4+ weeks and I still don’t have my seat cover! I’m not really impressed with USA1. There punctuality sucks! I now have 7 weeks tied up in waiting on a good seat cover since the first one was boogered up. They probably won’t get my business again.

It does suck waiting, but remember the covers are being handmade there in NC. The are not being mass produced like ACME does their covers. And the quality sucks big time on the ACME covers.
And I’m sure they have a lot of orders to fill, dash pads & Door Panels. They are somewhat, just a small company.

I know you’re totally right, but the seat cover is ALL I lack to have the truck finished (ish)

Re: 1987 R10...aka Belushi

While I impatiently wait on my seat cover, I finally finished the door panels with the ‘rebuilt’ map pockets and the velour inserts installed. Looks great! I also had to replace one of the NEW high beam headlights because one of the new ones was not working. Rockauto sent out the new one pretty quickly.

Thanks Frank! I wish I’d gotten a better before picture. That is the true “Holy $hit” moment.

I got the carpet from ACC and the door panel trim from USA1. It wasn’t to pricey versus most of the others

Re: 1987 R10...aka Belushi

Well, I got the sport rear bumper installed. Glad I did it, because whoever put the receiver hitch on this truck didn’t use any kind of washers at all to ‘support’ the frame holes. They were all buggered up, but they’re all good now with appropriate washers and new grade 8 hardware. I also had to cut off about 6” of the tailpipes as the step bumper stuck out quite a bit further. I’m really pleased with the look of the exterior now.

I also got the tracking number for the seat cover!!! Supposedly, it’ll be here Monday!!!
