Gas Monkey Fast-n-loud is airing the episode where they purchased my

Richard rollings , Dennis and Big chris, came out to my place and bought a 72 ford van last november. we had a ton of fun. they contacted me to say they were airing it on august 19th monday. they did not do the build so i dont think there will be very much shown.. unless they show how much beer we drank... we did do doughnuts in a field across the street from my house.. richard is a real fun guy ! especially after a few cold ones. again might be only a few minutes? on 8/19

I drove a metallic blue pimped out 72 F*#! Van with cragers and N50’s out back in high school... I built a sectional sofa in the back, with a cooler under the seat. All kinds of good times in that thing. ZZ Top blaring from my 6x9s....

How cool is that! I always thought it was 'reality TV' and all the 'buys' were staged by actors!

New episode wasn't on MTOD last night. Had to watch it on Discovery. I think there's something with the rights where they have to wait a week or month or something. I remember I had to wait a week or so for the new American Choppers to show up on MTOD.

That's just cool. I saw an interview with him and he seemed to be all business. But I guess you have to be. Nice to know he can still kick back and have a beer and not be some phoney. There's enough of those to go around.

Cool van, glad you had a good time. I don't dislike the guy, he's just not the type of fella I would hang out with. That being said I'm sure plenty of folks think the same about me haha!

That’s pretty cool! I think it shows that they have integrity by the fact that they called to let you know about the van’s status and when it will air.

Re: Gas Monkey Fast-n-loud is airing the episode where they purchased my

I haven't watched Fast Monkey Gas-n-Loud in a long long time. I'll have to watch this one. I like the van as it is. Van style needs to stay in the '70s the way I see it. You know, before they turned into conversion vans in the '80s.

At Carlisle Trucks there is a strong Van contingent. The occupy one side of the big pavilion. It's a cool place to check out at night. It's more than a show for them. They have their own Van-in.

I have my eye on a friend's son's early-70s Chevy shorty he wants to get rid of... pretty cheap. It's a former Bell Telephone van. Windows on passenger side and solid on driver side, 250/TH350. I have a Saginaw 4spd out of a later van with factory shifter I'd convert it to. It's dark green, faded patina, very little rust, and has old lettering from when it was owned by a truck stop. He lowered it and put 8"/10" slots on it, and has a chrome grille for it. If I can get ahead of my mortgage this summer I'll buy it

i Agree, i still go vanning alot and the chevy shorty i own i bought in 1986 . but it dressed it up in a 70;s clothing. as in slotted wheels, carpet cave ect. brings back memories. last year my wife and i took it to a foghat concert. yep wore my tie dye shirt!
