I love that old ford. It is a true old farmers truck through and through, complete down the the farmer 4 speed. It's not mine but I get to treat it like it's mine. It lives in my garage, I get to drive whenever I want, I get to tow it to the far away shows and I don't have a nickel invested in it. It's not even a family member's, it is just a really, really close family friend's. Maybe some day it will be mine, but for right now I am happy with the setup.

I haven't had the chance to work in mine yet. I might later this summer though. I'll probably take some things to the dump sooner or later.

I thought old Chevy trucks were supposed to be relegated to parade duty. An easy life of retirement.

Re: Anyone got trucks working pictures?

Come to think of it, mine will be working this weekend probably. Some guys have been rolling me multiple times, so we are going to come out of the backyard in the truck, and chunk some hot sauce/maynaise/gross baloons at the bastards. I'll get a video of it.

Re: Anyone got trucks working pictures?

This is me and my 68 being used as a scafold and one with the 67 I bought in Austin and towed to Dallas. I have had the 68 for 3-4 years and it is my daily driver. I have very little trouble with it and when I do it is usuallualy an easy fix. It is almost all in primer now and will be getting painted soon. Gotta love these trucks.

Here is a few pics of my '67 C-50 battling a very old Holly bush. My house was built in 1929, so there's no telling how old these bushes are. The base measured 53" when I got it out of the ground. Anybody need something moved!!

This truck has got a big 20,000 PTO winch on it, and I really believe something would break before it ever stalled out.

Re: Anyone got trucks working pictures?

I don't have any pictures, but my 72 works on a regular basis. Hauled some washed rock, and limestone for landscaping last year, and haul bikes all over the place. Had 2 dirt bikes in yesterday for a day of trail riding, and hauled my 600 to the track all last year. Pretty light loads compared to some of the pictures, but a handy truck to have around, for sure.

Re: Anyone got trucks working pictures?

Well, after hauling this as seen here with a tow bar (at about 60 MPH) it got all cut up and tossed into the bed. Well, everything except the cab.

whole frame got cut up, engine, tranny, front crossmember, 6 wheels, rear axle, and then the bed flipped up and onto the back. Put a good load on it, but still wasn't on the overload springs yet, although, I felt the overload when I'd blast over the hump in an intersection.

Re: Anyone got trucks working pictures?

Hey Powell72,
How does that 4/6 ECE drop pull that car trailer? What size rear tire? Any rubbing or bottoming out?

Putting the same drop on my 67 and just curious if I'd be able to pull the car trailer I don't have yet. he-he
