Identify these fenders please

I bought this 1969 GMC with no grille attached. The previous owner put on aftermarket fenders. I think they may be 1969-1972 Chevy fenders. In that case I'm not sure if a GMC grill will fit? Ignore the deleted side markers, I know they are not 1967 fenders.

Re: Identify these fenders please

Have not delved into this myself, so with others insights I speak. Most aftermarket fenders and grilles need modification to get things lined up and fitting correctly so......

Thanks for the answer.
Does that mean I will not be able to fit a GMC grill?
I know that GMC put the same fenders on from 68-72 while chevy changed.
The huge problem is that the core support on it is a 69GMC.

Correct. You need new fenders or new core support. Keep in mind the bumper and brackets could be part of this equation.

Damn,,,,, as you can see I've already had it painted.
I have a source on some original fenders. I guess I'll just have to teach myself to paint again. The budget to pay someone else is already gone.
But, while I'm at it I may put a 67 hood on those GMC fenders I plan to buy.

And of coarse a 67 grille.

I really learned my lesson on this one, Never paint until every thing has been fitted.

Re: Identify these fenders please

Of you consign a 67-68 hood, you'll need to use a narrower 67-68 grill top filled bar as well. I have an extra one of needsd

Thank you Mike. I might PM you about that.
I can't quite figure out the 67/68 GMC grilles. I think 68 used a narrower top and thinner eyebrows. Do the 67 GMC's have the narrow top with no eyebrows at all?
